We recently partnered with LifeFlight, Queensland's emergency aeromedical service, to support their very first car lottery. LifeFlight responds to an emergency on average every 59 minutes — and funds from this campaign will go directly towards a new visitor experience and education centre in Toowoomba. The prize? A brand-new Suzuki Jimny XL.
RACQ has crowned the Suzuki Swift Hybrid the cheapest car to own and operate in 2025, following on from receiving the same award in 2024. In the light passenger category, the Suzuki Swift, which comes at a cost of $874 per month and an affordable price tag of under $30,000 (depending on model variant), has been crowned as the most affordable car to own and operate in 2025.
According to the 2026 findings from the Australian Automotive Dealer Association (AADA) and AutoGrab, the Jimny has held the #1 spot for resale value among Australian SUVs. The Jimny has been averaging 111% across both the 2-4 and 5-7 year age segments for the past year. Which means Jimny owners are, in fact, making money by driving their cars.
Suzuki’s multi-award-winning Swift has reached an extraordinary milestone of 10 million units sold worldwide, cementing its place as one of the most iconic and enduring small cars in automotive history.
"Remember when saving money was fun? Pocketing the coins you found down the sides of the couch and putting them into your piggy bank or Dollarmite account, all for the thrill of being able to save up and get something you love. Well, times have changed and those bucks don’t buy as much anymore in some cases – but with the Suzuki Swift Hybrid, you can save money and have fun!"
"Fuel efficiency has long been a central pillar of the Swift’s appeal and further efficiency gains are a key aspect of this fourth-generation model, which introduces mild-hybrid technology to the singular powertrain. Finding a quality Japanese-built car with a price tag below $30,000 is becoming increasingly difficult and the Swift is a trusted nameplate."

There may not be any beehives at the Samford Showgrounds, but Suzuki Queensland’s marketing manager, Jake Tobin is hoping to witness the greatest swarm ever seen in Australia, at the picturesque, semi-rural enclave just west of Brisbane.
The latest "Automotive Insights Report (AIR)" has released some interesting news around retained value of car makes and models, based on data accumulated as of January 2024. And to most Aussies, it wouldn't be a great surprise to see a number of Suzuki's listed with the Top 10 lists for Retained Value.
