Suzuki's hold their value - no surprises there!

The latest "Automotive Insights Report (AIR)" has released some interesting news around retained value of car makes and models, based on data accumulated as of January 2024. And to most Aussies, it would be not a huge surprise to see a number of Suzuki's listed with the Top 10 lists for Retained Value.

Average Retained Value (RV%) - Top Makes and Models (2-4 years old)

  • Passenger cars, Swift ranked 8th, 96.1%
  • SUV’s, Jimny, ranked 1st, 135.7%

Average Retained Value (RV%) - Top Makes and Models (5-7 years old)

  • SUV’s, Ignis ranked 4th, 82.9%

Retained Value is a measure of how well a vehicle holds its value against the original Recommended Retail Price (RRP) when the vehicle was purchased brand new. For example, a retained value of 30% represents that the vehicle was sold at 30% of its original RRP. This figure is reported as a weighted average by vehicle segment and age group at each reporting period and provides a stable pricing trend movement.

The AIR Report details data and insights developed in collaboration between AADA & AutoGrab. It is a resource that offers an in-depth analysis of market trends, pricing fluctuations, and consumer preferences. Read their full January 2024 article here
