It won’t come as any surprise to you that the Suzuki Grand Vitara is one of the best SUV’s around, but with the market hotting up with more competitors, it’s gratifying to know that the Suzuki Grand Vitara is still one of the top picks. Cars Guide in the Weekend Courier Mail (June 11- 12, 2011), notes that this is a booming market area as more and more people want to ‘Get away from it all”. Accordingly, there are now more players in this space than ever before, with pricing sub $20K.
Despite some of the low pricing available, Stuart Martin of Cars Guide list Suzuki Grand Vitara as one of the Top Picks. He notes that not only does “Suzuki have strong claims as the round breaker in the compact SUV segment”, he also concedes that it’s unfair to recognise them as soft. “Built to old school 4WD rules, their dual range, decent clearance, short overhangs and under body protection all point to greater capability than just negotiating oversized speed humps”. And why would risk trying to get away in anything less!
Whilst there are a massive 23 SUV’s to choose from, with the majority 2wd’s or limited capacity 4WD’s, this says it all – “The tiny titan of the 4WD world, Vitara has heritage and ability”. Anything else inferior would be little consolation when you’re either stranded amongst it, or simply can’t get there.
